Hersek Lagünü (Hersek Lagoon) is one of the few lagoon systems on the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara. Its shallow water, 50–60 centimetres deep on average, is a feeding and resting place for birds.
From the bird-watching tower you can look out over the lagoon and the Osman Gazi Bridge, then walk to the sea; it is 7 minutes from the hotel.
